Can the system open a parking barrier automatically?

Selected ZKTeco LPR products provide relay and I/O interfaces that can be used in barrier-control workflows, and LPRS1000 specifically lists automatic parking-barrier control among its standard functions. The installer still needs to design the complete sequence, including barrier controller compatibility, safety loops or sensors, authorization rules and fallback behavior for unreadable or unauthorized plates.

What camera distance should be planned?

It depends on the model. ZKTeco lists 2-10 metres for LPRS1000 with 3.5-4 metres recommended as the best range, and 3-10 metres for LPRC300 with 3-5 metres recommended. E-LPRC500 uses different lens options, so distance should be planned around the selected lens and site. Always validate angle, plate size in frame and night conditions.

Can the system work if the network or server is unavailable?

Some configurations can. ZKTeco states that LPRC300 can operate independently offline after allowlist and blocklist data are imported through a web browser, making it relevant for local monthly-parking or access workflows. The full behavior during an outage depends on the selected camera, software architecture, barrier logic and where the authorization database is stored, so this requirement should be specified before quotation.

What information should I provide to get a useful quote?

Provide the number of entry and exit lanes, site photos or drawing, expected vehicle speed, approximate capture distance, plate types, barrier model, software requirements, required event retention, quantity, network availability, installation expectations, delivery location and target date. If replacing an existing system, include the current camera or terminal model and any controller interfaces that must be retained.

Is installation included with the product?

Installation should be treated as a separate scope unless the quotation explicitly includes it. A complete LPR project can involve mounting, electrical power, network cabling, barrier wiring, loop detectors, civil work, software setup, database configuration, lane testing and user training. Can businesses request multiple units for a project?

Yes, project and multi-lane inquiries can be reviewed, but the design should confirm whether each lane needs the same hardware.
