The Horus E2-QR is the dedicated QR variant. ZKTeco references use with the ZKBio Zexus mobile application and PDF417 scanning in third-party development projects. A buyer planning visitor passes or mobile credentials should confirm the exact code format, application, issuing workflow and integration requirement before ordering because a QR reader alone does not define the full visitor-management process.

Can Horus E2 connect over Wi-Fi or 4G?

Yes. The vendor lists dual-band Wi-Fi supporting 2.4GHz and 5GHz standards, BLE 4.1 and 4G mobile communication in addition to TCP/IP. The best network method depends on the site. Wired Ethernet is often preferred for permanent infrastructure, while Wi-Fi or 4G may help in locations where cabling is difficult or temporary. Signal, security and server reachability should be checked first.

ZKTeco lists ZKBio Time and ZKBio CVAccess as supported software and ZKBio Zexus as the related mobile application. Is there a backup-battery version?

Yes. The Horus E2-B is listed with a removable 3,200mAh lithium backup battery. The base E2, E2-FP and E2-QR do not list that battery. The battery can help the terminal continue through short power disruption, but it should not be assumed to power the entire access-control door.
